All Righty...Since the death of my PS3 I have been pondering at the idea of purchasing another PS3 but I need to be able to transfer my files from current hard drive to new PS3. Anyways of doing this without the use of an External Hard drive because after buying a new PS3 I don't want to shell out another 75 to 100 bucks when I could use that money on a new xbox...

Well, beings that the drives in the PS3 are SATA you could probably (I say probably as I've not done it or tried it) throw that drive into a desktop as a slave drive and copy the files over to your computer. You could then take the new drive with the same process and place the files onto it. Then again, this may not work as the formatting may not be recognized... Swap drives and use a USB would probably be your best bet... or just put the old drive into your new system.
