This game looks amazing. Having spent many weekends in Lan parties with the first Generals game I can't wait for this one to release.

Just as much. C&C3 Tiberium Wars was showing a huge decline in quality IMO. Nothing will ever stand up to C&C2: Red Alert.

My bane has always been RTS games, I keep thinking that will change with time yet every time I get one I end up with the same sour taste in my mouth. That being said this one looks good even if I don't like the genre I understand the appeal.

A RTS game that was original and actually worked on the console was Tom Clancy's End War. It was all done through voice commands and worked really well. "Unit Alpha attack Charlie". It wasn't the most complex RTS but worked for what it set out to do. Too bad poor sales doomed it to not go anywhere.

I still want to try that End War game. But so far my encounters with RTS' on the console have been slim but out of the 3 I've played: Command & Conquer 3, Halo Wars and Civilization Revolution (also TBS mixed in but still), the latter two still hold up extremely well. I need to get my hands on Civ Rev again actually.
Halo Wars works surprisingly EXTREMELY well. Unit command is simple, base structure is easy to maintain and there's many different modes to use to test your abilities. If you can look past the idea of it as a Halo game, you'd actually be shocked at it's underrated quality.

I tried halo wars and didn't like it at all. I guess I'm just too used to RTS on pc. Good thing I have one beastly pc to play this one on.
