You were probably just playing with the wrong group.  Some people tend to obsess over that shit, but the books themselves even say the rules are just a guideline and if there's a question about something for the DM to just make a quick ruling and roll with it, just as long as everyone is having fun.  Any tabletop game starts sucking when you play with someone that's so focused on "winning" that they want to argue over every rule or take forever to take their damn turn, and causes the game to grind to a halt.

The truth is Floid wanted to roll a transvestite Half-Elf in which case he was promptly asked to leave. Table top is the greates thing since the hula hoop.

*sigh* I remember when I tried to play actual D&D. It took over a day JUST to get everything/everyone all setup. By the time we were ABOUT to start, a couple dorks got into some argument about one of the Guide Books or something. I grabbed my bag of weed and said "FUCK YOU NERDS!"

and left. They called me back telling me I had to at least put my character shit away or move it. I threw it all out. Suffice to say, I was not invited back to that dudes house.

Bah don't you hate THAT motherfucker! I never played a game where we didn't have some douchebag arguing over "but my character would've known that" herpa derp!

Yeah, I don't remember whether 3.5 had the same amount, but Pathfinder has a pretty good spread of knowledge skills, so if someone wants to argue about something their character knows the DM can just tell them to roll a Knowledge (whatever) check and if they fail, then too bad, bitch, your character doesn't know shit about that.

So the sub numbers are dropping fast from SWTOR and they just laid big names off at bioware. See I told you guys Red Ring is a fuckin prophet!

LMAO!!!!

That game sucked. After the first night playing I had an "Aww fuck" feeling, but decided to stick with it and give it a chance. If memory serves, I canceled the free 1 month sub 6 days later. I just couldn't pretend it wasn't a steaming pile of donkey shit.

I found it interesting for my first step into an MMO.  Even so after a few months the game felt empty and grindey.  I lost interest fast in taking my level 39 all the way to 50.

I liked the non fantasy MMO take and the single player story aspect but once you got to endgame you found out real quick they put all their eggs in one basket and it was merely a poor WoW rip off that offered nothing more the another gear grinding hamster wheel. I enjoyed my few months bt once their Subscription carrot on a stick model was apparent I couldn't continue paying for it. Or wasting my time grinding gear to compete in pvp. All wow clones fail for one reason, their not WoW!

Having beat the game up as bad as I have, I still haven't 100% ruled out giving it another shot. My OCD is kinda kicking in and buggin me that I didn't at least get to end game.

"D3 making you miss SWTOR? Well that's an odd statement. If your looking for a long single player game loaded with voice overs then SWTOR will tickle your fancy, D3 is "okay" at best. I mean it's good for what it is, but it's…"

"lol Look, the main character is a girl, but she's kind of a cunt and she knows it. It's not all flowers and passing notes to boys. It's about shooting arrows in people's necks and struggling to survive. Meh, read it, don't…"

"I think I'm burning out on D3. It's going to be a push just to finish it on normal. I'm towards the end of Act 3 I believe. It's just so monotonous. Story is fucking great, I'll give it that. But I'm not much of a story…"

"lmao That sucks dude, but actually works to my benefit. If you came on singing it's praises, it probably would have pushed me off the fence on it. "
