Who is playing it and who got early access?
Permalink Reply by Transience8985 on April 27, 2012 at 11:42am You were probably just playing with the wrong group. Some people tend to obsess over that shit, but the books themselves even say the rules are just a guideline and if there's a question about something for the DM to just make a quick ruling and roll with it, just as long as everyone is having fun. Any tabletop game starts sucking when you play with someone that's so focused on "winning" that they want to argue over every rule or take forever to take their damn turn, and causes the game to grind to a halt.
Permalink Reply by Irishbrewed on April 27, 2012 at 11:54am *sigh* I remember when I tried to play actual D&D. It took over a day JUST to get everything/everyone all setup. By the time we were ABOUT to start, a couple dorks got into some argument about one of the Guide Books or something. I grabbed my bag of weed and said "FUCK YOU NERDS!"
and left. They called me back telling me I had to at least put my character shit away or move it. I threw it all out. Suffice to say, I was not invited back to that dudes house.

Permalink Reply by Transience8985 on April 27, 2012 at 1:02pm Yeah, I don't remember whether 3.5 had the same amount, but Pathfinder has a pretty good spread of knowledge skills, so if someone wants to argue about something their character knows the DM can just tell them to roll a Knowledge (whatever) check and if they fail, then too bad, bitch, your character doesn't know shit about that.

That game sucked. After the first night playing I had an "Aww fuck" feeling, but decided to stick with it and give it a chance. If memory serves, I canceled the free 1 month sub 6 days later. I just couldn't pretend it wasn't a steaming pile of donkey shit.

So the sub numbers are dropping fast from SWTOR and they just laid big names off at bioware. See I told you guys Red Ring is a fuckin prophet!
Permalink Reply by LudaToke on Thursday I found it interesting for my first step into an MMO. Even so after a few months the game felt empty and grindey. I lost interest fast in taking my level 39 all the way to 50.

Permalink Reply by RED RING on Thursday Having beat the game up as bad as I have, I still haven't 100% ruled out giving it another shot. My OCD is kinda kicking in and buggin me that I didn't at least get to end game.
