Game Informer.....

Today I recieved my new issue of the game informer magazine. This is always a happy time for me I get to take my monthly game informer shit. So i hopped on the hopper let er rip and opened the magazine up. Nothing new in the beginning; typical articles on shit I dont care about kinetic or natal or whatever they are calling the hands free wii now and the 27th rendition of the nintendo DS, more consoles than good games there folks, something to think about. I get to the previews and reviews the meat and potatoes if you will.... I finish reading the previews and I get to the reviews and see that transformers got a nice score i smile and nod, turn the page and i see that Ncaa football recieved a nice score as well, i turned again to see the piece of shit that I traded in to buy Ncaa football recieved a score of 7.25. What the fuck.......

Now i know what you are thinking I've already bitched about this game and some of you are going to crack jokes about "get over it" "go cuddle your dog till you feel better" "shut up dego" ect and so forth... but before I do any and all of those things I just want to point a couple things out.

1. there is no way Transformers wfc is only one and a quarter points better than crackdown its alot better.

2. I remember this same magazine giving Iron Man a 4. now IM didnt deserve even the 7.25 that crackdown 2 got but its not a 4 either and is a better game than CD2.

3. the last and most important point or hypothesis..... gamestop publishes this rag and stocked up on copies of CD2 and decided to give it a decent rating, even though reading the review it seems the score does not match, simply because they dont think people actually read the reviews and will buy the game based on a #. So apparently gamestop thinks we are all stupid. Of course i get retard points for buying it assuming it would be good because i liked the first game.

Nobodies reviews can be trusted. Magazine reviews are paid for. We all know that. Fan reviews are either 0 or 10. No in between.

I rely on Milk Men reviews mostly, but also take them with a grain of salt. IB hates it, Rune loves it. There is not a lot of middle ground.

Actually, IB does better live and in person that what he writes on this site. He'll at least compare it to something and give me a dollar value of what it's worth when we discuss it. On here he just writes about how much trash it is.

I also get a feel by how many friends are playing it on my friends list. And how long they are playing it. Right now if I didn't already know about it, I would have to say Transformers is the best thing going because that is what everyone is playing it seems.

Game Informer = Video Game Elitest Scum. I have never trusted a review from that magazine for the very reason you have put in your blog JB - Gamestop.

And the fact that the makers of crackdown2 prolly gave those guys some sweet schwag to up the review score. Always happens and alway will continue to happen. Is this a great country or what?
