Don't Drink the Milk

After an epic night of Halo Reach forge and campaign I've decided against my better judgment to write a blog on maybe 4 hours of sleep. Last night about 10:30 I decided to start getting ready to leave the house to go stand in line for my copy of Halo Reach. I've begun thinking.. what else in my life do I put this much effort into….nothing. I'm an incredibly impatient person and the fact that I'm willing to stand for an hour with strangers to get a game is beyond me it doesn't make much sense but I do it anyway. Its midnight and I am one of the first in line so I get my HUGE box and head home happier than a school girl who discovered her first pleasure device. I get home and spend about half an hour ogling over the Legendary Edition contents and putting my statue together. Then after that I pop the disc in and proceed to play forge mode and campaign for about 3 hours. I finally go to bed at 4 am or a bit after. I wake up at 7:20 and continue to roll around in bed making my "does not want" face. I, half asleep, txt my boss "is it alright if I hit the office by noon?". I then reset the alarm for 15 min increments to see if he has txt'd back. At 8:15 (15 min late) I decided that this is a sign that its not ok and I better get my ass to work. I hop up get dressed in about 2 min and am in the vehicle speeding to work in under 15. Luckily I get to work and all my boss does is laugh at the situation thank Jeff. This has me thinking though. Why would I put my job in jeopardy over something so minuscule so "unimportant"….

My name is WigglesTheHoly…and I'm a video game addict.

Were all addicted and afflicted with this in some way…and I wouldn't change a thing..accept my hours at work they really cut into my game time.

I've decided the cataclysm launch is probably going to be too entertaining to miss. I shall be there.

i've never went to a midnight sale for a game and never will. I'm in bed by 7:30, that's how we do it in the old folks home.

I'm guessing you attempted to put a picture of a Hutt in the thread to mock me but failed miserably. It's the thought that counts in this case as a Red X isn't prime mockery.

I'm sure it has nothing to do with the fact that I look like the Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons but with better hair... I didn't play with the toys until I got home.

lol @ Travers.

I can't understand why people would laugh at a grown overweight man walking out of Best Buy with his over priced toy statue and a video game. Boggles the mind.

I got laughed at walking out of Best Buy yesterday carrying the footlocker looking packaging of the Halo Reach Legendary edition. I'm convinced it was because of the game, not my person as I am a smooth mother fucker.

I'd NEVER go to a Call of Duty midnight launch. No offense to the game or those who like it, but I'd imagine around a college campus most of the people there would be douchebag bros. I'd probably want to fight everyone there, but wouldn't because they could probably kick my ass.

Most recently I went to the Final Fantasy XIII and Resident Evil 5 midnight launches. RE5 was pure in-and-out because there were only about 20 people there and a lot of them seemed like they might be townies. I've never been in line for a midnight launch longer than 20 mins. FFXIII was a bit more crowded but that one was really entertaining to take in. Maybe 50 people picking up (though it goes quick because it's just walk in show your receipt and grab your copy). There were a lot of ubernerds (myself included probably) and stupid hipsters there so I had to work hard to not to laugh. Also some fairly cute nerdy girls there too.

I'm probably going to go to the Cat midnight launch because It'll be as entertaining as FFXIII if not moreso and I want to be able to get it installed and patched overnight if necessary. Also it'll give me some stuff to look at while it's installing since I got the collectors edition (god I'm going to look like a dork hauling that big box out of there).

"D3 making you miss SWTOR? Well that's an odd statement. If your looking for a long single player game loaded with voice overs then SWTOR will tickle your fancy, D3 is "okay" at best. I mean it's good for what it is, but it's…"

"lol Look, the main character is a girl, but she's kind of a cunt and she knows it. It's not all flowers and passing notes to boys. It's about shooting arrows in people's necks and struggling to survive. Meh, read it, don't…"

"I think I'm burning out on D3. It's going to be a push just to finish it on normal. I'm towards the end of Act 3 I believe. It's just so monotonous. Story is fucking great, I'll give it that. But I'm not much of a story…"

"lmao That sucks dude, but actually works to my benefit. If you came on singing it's praises, it probably would have pushed me off the fence on it. "
